With masses of moss green crystallised marine life and three beautiful crystal caves, it is truly a unique specimen. Both sides of this stone are equally stunning. Ocean Jasper seems a most fitting name for this beautiful semi precious stone found only along the shoreline of Madagascar. Ocean Jasper is volcanic in origin and it can have a huge range of color variation - from white, grey and beige, to pinks and yellows, with a vast range of green tones which are crystallised marine life. Ocean Jasper's distinctive patterns are made up of round or spherical inclusions of contrasting colours floating in solid jasper. Hence this crystal is also known as Orbicular Jasper because of its colourful orbs and some also refer to it as “Moon Jewel Jasper”. Each Ocean Jasper stone has its own characteristics so never will you find two of these highly prized semi precious stones with the same pattern, they are uniquely individual.
